How to film your lifts for form analysis
A good form check starts with a good camera angle. Two minutes of setup gets you feedback you can trust.
Angle and distance
Film side on for squats, hinges, and push ups so depth and back position are visible. Stand the phone two to three metres away so your whole body stays in frame for the entire set.
Lighting and framing
Even lighting and a plain background help any analysis pick up your joints cleanly. Keep the same angle each session so you can compare over time.
FAQ
Do I need a tripod?
No, but leaning your phone against something stable at hip height works well and keeps the frame steady.
